How we turn a digital file into a patient-ready implant...

Imagine holding a perfectly tailored titanium implant in your hand — designed according to clinical needs, engineered for bone integration, and delivered sterile, ready for surgery.

Sounds futuristic? At Swiss m4m Center, it’s reality.

We help medical device companies turn digital designs into patient-ready, 3D-printed titanium implants quickly, reliably, and in full compliance with ISO 13485 standards.

Using the use case of a custom hip cup, the journey begins with medical imaging data or CAD files. Our engineering team optimizes the design through simulation, topology optimization, and lattice structure definition to ensure functionality, mechanical stability, and bone integration.

Once the design is finalized, we tailor the build setup with the right orientation, support strategy, and process parameters before producing the part using Laser Powder Bed Fusion in medical-grade Ti6Al4V.

Post-processing steps such as support removal, heat treatment, and surface finishing ensure mechanical and biological performance.

Each implant undergoes internal de-powdering, pre-cleaning, validated cleaning at a qualified supplier, and meticulous inspection, including visual checks, dimensional control, and 3D scanning.

Final cleaning ensures biocompatibility compliance.

Packaging takes place in a cleanroom environment, complete with full production documentation, lot release records, and risk analyses.

The result after sterilization is a sterile-packaged-implant, fully traceable and ready for clinical use.

More than just a manufacturing partner, Swiss m4m Center enables innovation at scale, supporting your project from concept to production with compliance, speed, and impact.

If you’re working on a 3D-printed implant project, we’re ready to help bring it to life.
